Position: Call for Roster for Office Clerk, Consultant

Background
Bureau for Development Policy (BDP) invites applications for review and inclusion in its roster of Office Clerk, Consultant.
Candidates with the requisite skills and experience will be included in the roster and considered for temporary upon call assignments.
The Office Clerk’s primary function is to provide administrative and office support to all groups of the Bureau for Development Policy and more specifically to the Programme Support Unit (PSU). Under the guidance and direct supervision of the Administrative Associate, the Office Clerk ensures effective execution of assigned tasks in BDP. The job requires the ability to meet deadlines and maintain high-quality of output working under pressure. The highest standards of integrity, discretion and loyalty are essential. The ability to use good judgment and experience working in a multi-cultural setting are critical.
It is planned to have 3-5 Office Clerk Consultants in the roster.
Duties and Responsibilities
Sort and organize publications, files and documents
Scan/photocopy/ fax documents, files and/or publications
Archive various documents and files
Label drawers and cabinets for easy reference
Prepare address labels for boxes and packages
Prepare boxes, arrange shipment/pouch, and dispatch publications
Support and assist in office staff moves, as required
Any other miscellaneous office related tasks, as required
Competencies
Excellent communication / organizational skills, attention to details
Ability to function under tight deadlines
Identifies priority activities and assignments
Works collaboratively with colleagues to achieve organizational goals
Required Skills and Experience
Completed Secondary Education
At least 2 years of relevant experience in administrative services or office environment is required, desirably within the UN system but not a must
Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.)
Fluency in English. Working knowledge of another UN language is an asset.

Quoted daily fee will be an overriding factor in the evaluation process.
