Position: Performance Management and Career Support Consultant, New York

The United Nations Secretariat wishes to invite candidates for ongoing Performance Management and Career Support consultancy opportunities in New York City. Candidates should have at least ten (10) years experience in one or the other of these disciplines, and have a proven track record in delivering training modules to an international audience. Relevant academic qualifications and industry certifications are required. Specific experience is required in the following areas for each discipline:

Performance Management:
- Experience delivering Performance Management training modules
- Experience in the development and introduction of ‘mandatory’ performance management training sessions for managers and supervisors.
- Supervision of teams and formal management of staff performance
- Recent academic research experience in the area of performance management, rewards and recognition programmes;
- Demonstrated experience in managing underperformers and related strategy implementation
- Experience with 360 degree feedback methodology
- Familiarity with Peoplesoft performance management software

Career Support:
- Experience delivering Career support training modules
- One-on-one counselling experience
- Experience with the development of career pathing / career models
- Experience with mobility initiatives within international organizations
- Recent academic research experience in the area of career support

Candidates will be required to deliver a 1-hour training session to the recruiting panel based on United Nations materials that will be provided to qualified candidates.
