Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical certification/work experience with proven expertise in Symantec’s CCS system and its peripherals.

Technical Skills:

Four years+ work experience in Networking, Network security, Windows Server 2003/2008, MS SQL Server, Control Compliance Suite.

Specific Tasks to be Accomplished

Summary: The consultant will be responsible to plan and perform an upgrade of the Symantec Control Compliance Suite (CCS) V9 to V10. The consultant will review the current installation and make recommendations for its efficient use and deployment including authentication, remote access, dashboard reporting, and policy management.

Responsibilities

•Create a plan to upgrade the current Symantec CCS V9 application to V10 while retaining all the current data
•Install and configure any needed CCS V10 components as required for the upgrade including (but not necessarily limited to) – Microsoft SQL Server host for the Control Compliance Suite databases, SSIS and SSL
•Test and verify the upgraded system
•Demonstrate the new functionality using a PowerPoint presentation with examples from the UNICEF system
•Develop a dashboard demonstrating compliance to policies and procedures by country, regional offices, and globally
•Develop customized Reports
•Document the design of the new system.

Rationale

Symantec provides the application upgrade at no cost to the organization but UNICEF is responsible for the installation. This application has a high level of complexity thus ITSS will benefit from external expertise in this area which is currently lacking in the organization.

Interim/Final Output Required

•Upgraded and fully functional application (CCS) for policy management and ICT baseline assessment.
•Document showing the design and configuration of Control Compliance Suite Application
•PowerPoint presentation on the new functionality of the system
