Position: Development Outreach and Communications Specialist

The Mitchell Group, Inc., an international development firm based in Washington, DC, is seeking applications for a fulltime Development Outreach and Communications Specialist. The position is based in Washington, DC and provides direct support to USAID’s Africa Bureau. The Specialist will be responsible for such tasks as:
* Overseeing the production of website and written materials
* Dissemination of documents, newsletters, etc.
* Developing and implementation of communication strategies
* Respond to information requests from the public and clients
* Coordinate with clients on outreach and communications related issues
* General communications backstopping support, including research and writing
* Participation in relevant events
Key Qualifications:
* Masters or higher in a related field
* 10+ years of experience in a related position
* Prior experience on USG-funded programs, USAID programs preferred
* Knowledge of development assistance a strong plus
