Job Description
PCI currently has an exciting career opportunity for a globally focused Senior Director of HR to play an important strategic role in leading core HR functions and strategic OD initiatives that support the mission and vision of PCI. He/she will assess existing HR structures, programs and processes and implement changes to ensure maximum impact, visibility, and contribution. He/she will also be responsible for managing the global HR team.
This role requires the Senior Director, Global HR to see the big picture, manage details, be responsive, and possess good project management, collaboration, networking and exceptional communication skills.
Required Skills
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
HR Strategy
Develop an organization-wide strategy and country-by-country implementation plan for achieving the One PCI initiative.
HR Operations
Oversee all aspects of human resources and new country operations including: benefits, personnel policies, performance management planning and coaching processes, competitive salary and grading system, recruitment, onboarding and departure processes.
Drive PCI’s efforts to ensure HR operating policies and practices are standardized across all PCI sites, and HR “Gold Standards of Performance” are implemented globally
Oversee the development of global safety and security policies and procedures
Organization Development
Ensure quality execution of global organizational OD priorities, specifically, staff development, succession planning, career paths, and essential training for managers and supervisors
Develop action plans to periodically measure staff satisfaction and ensure staff performance measures of success are implemented Implement HR/OD technology to ensure “best in class” service delivery
Lead PCI’s human resources and organizational development function and initiatives to attain a “gold standard” in human resources across PCI’s global and international office operations. Champion ongoing efforts to broaden and deepen PCI’s organizational culture, One PCI.
Develop tools to establish and meet measures of success for OD and HR initiatives
Experience Required
Graduate degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or a related field.
9 – 11 years of professional experience with a minimum of 7 years in a similar role and at similar organizational level.
Strategic thought leadership for global HR operational and organizational excellence; global mind set and cultural awareness
Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of all HR disciplines, including global HR operations
Must have worked in a non-governmental organization
Experience working and/or living in a developing country preferred
Experience designing and implementing organizational development initiatives
Demonstrated experience implementing HR technology solutions; experience with Microsoft Office suite, HRIS, ADP and Open Hire platforms.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills (written, verbal, listening, coaching, and facilitation)
Bilingual in Spanish and/or French preferred
Demonstrated ability to plan and accomplish goals within set time frames
Able to influence others broadly and deeply in the organization to achieve essential position outcomes
Able to energize staff and leadership teams organization-wide around HR and OD initiatives
A passion for the mission and values of PCI
Resourceful in identifying and overseeing global and local outside resources to accomplish goals, for example, organizational development initiatives
Travel Required: Approximately 15-25 % travel, both domestic and international
