LifeNet International (LN) is a not-for-profit organization that creates innovative solutions to the everyday health challenges facing East Africa’s poor. In 2011, LN launched our Conversion Franchise network with 10 church-based clinics in Burundi, East Africa and will rapidly expand our network throughout Burundi during 2012. Our franchise platform includes in-clinic training, growth loans, and medicine supply (currently in pilot phase). LN aims to create a sustainable in-country organization that significantly impacts health outcomes for the poor.

JOB DESCRIPTION
LN currently seeks a US Director to lead our US operations with responsibility for fundraising, recruiting, and day-to-day operations. The position reports directly to LN’s President & Chairman and is based in Orlando, Florida.

Development & Marketing
- Identify and pursue new funding relationships with major donors and foundations
- Provide relationship management and development of existing LN donors
- Write successful funding proposals for major donor and foundation grants
- Optimize LN’s donor communications including our CRM database, quarterly donor updates on key metrics, and our annual report
- Lead the design, pilot, and implementation of a church-clinic sponsorship model that successfully establishes LN’s retail funding channel
- Manage all LN communications including web, social media, and traditional media formats
- Become a brand champion for LN, including speaking engagements, conferences, and other relevant events

Human Capital
- Identify and pursue recruiting relationships at leading universities, and other strategic organizations
- Successfully recruit and fill all essential staffing positions for LN’s US and international operations to ensure high-performing teams across the organization

Operations Management
- Manage all US full-time and part-time staff
- Ensure proper monthly accounting and annual audits
- Responsible for all day-to-day administrative and operations tasks, as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS
- Commitment to and passion for LifeNet’s vision and mission
- 3-5 years experience in leadership positions in either for-profit or nonprofit organizations
- Strong experience in relationship management with a proven ability to convert relational prospects into donors/clients
- Strong written and oral communications skills
- Exceptional academic performance
- Graduate studies in international development or relevant field, preferred
- Ability to travel internationally and domestically 25-50% of time
