Job Summary
The Network Infrastructure Architect specializes in the networking and security technology areas. He/she will act as a technical lead for projects that require special management and coordination in these areas, and will be involved in building and maintaining complex network and security infrastructure. Given the critical importance of both the networking and security areas to virtually all IT-related projects, this role requires significant integration across multiple technologies (e.g., application development, server and application hosting, workstation computing, etc.).

Duties and Responsibilities:
Review the planned network infrastructure changes in order to ensure compliance with security standards.
Design and implement appropriate technical solutions in response to emerging business requirements.
Lead the planning and development of the overall network and security architecture for the organization.
Manage (including planning, designing, testing, and implementing) selected Cisco network and security infrastructure projects.
Provide advanced engineering support for the diagnosis and resolution of complex network infrastructure and security problems.
Collaborate with other teams in the organization to design and develop technical solutions in response to business requirements.
Research and implement new technologies and lead pilot studies where relevant.
Participate in creating RFP documents related to network and security tools and services, and in the evaluation of RFP responses.
Oversee testing and quality assurance processes. Consult in the planning of systems integration testing.

Experience
Proven track record of excellent project management skills demonstrated for technically oriented projects.
Proven expertise in implementing complex technical infrastructure, with an emphasis on designing, planning, testing, user communication and documentation.
Ability to analyze and resolve complex technical problems, and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
Good knowledge in network protocols, network devices (Cisco routers and switches), security devices (IPS/IDS and Firewalls), and system administration in support of security forensics and operations.
Extensive knowledge of designing, developing, configuring and implementing enterprise networks in diverse environment.
Good understanding of Internet/Intranet/Extranet infrastructure and authentication systems.
Experience with ITIL or similar processes for change/release management, incident management and problem management.

The candidate with advanced certification(s) (e.g. CCNP, CCDP, CCDE, CCIE, and/or CISSP) will be preferred.

Education:
Advanced university degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related field of study or equivalent, plus a minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience; or a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related field of study plus a minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience, is required.
