Manufacturing, Agribusiness and Services Global Department (MAS) is a centrally positioned product and investment group, responsible for supporting, sourcing and executing investment transactions in manufacturing, agribusiness and consumer services sectors. MAS works closely with other industry investment groups within IFC and with appropriate counterparts within the World Bank. Within MAS, Global Consumer Services group is responsible for: (a) leading the formulation of IFC’s Consumer Services Strategy and overseeing strategy implementation; (b) monitoring sector developments and keeping MAS management informed of these developments and potential impact on IFC’s activities and strategies in those sectors; (c) leading origination in Part 1 countries; (d) structuring and processing innovative transactions; (e) providing operational support to Regional and Regional Industry Departments.

Duties and Accountabilities
Support preparation and dissemination of Consumer Services sector strategies;
Conduct analytical research for various Consumer Services sectors and companies;
Prepare client pitch books and support business development efforts;
Help establish and maintain quality client relationships to ensure responsive client service and to enhance new business opportunities;
Consolidate and maintain up to date sector information and information on IFC’s activities in the sectors;
Update and maintain internal databases;
Create financial models;
Analyze historical and projected financial statements;
Prepare documentation for IFC internal processes; and
Other tasks that may arise in the unit’s work.

Selection Criteria
Bachelor’s or equivalent degree with specialization in finance.
Experience in a financial institution (2 + years) with a proven track record.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills and sound business judgment to identify issues and present creative and practical solutions.
Experience in conducting research using Bloomberg preferred.
Knowledge of the market, trends and investment in the tourism, retail and property sectors preferred.
Facility to work successfully in multicultural teams and across boundaries.
Demonstrated teamwork skills.
Strong client service orientation with an openness to feedback and new ideas.
Excellent presentation skills.
