The International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector arm of the World Bank Group, is the largest multilateral provider of financing for private enterprise in developing countries. IFC finances private sector investments, mobilizes capital in international financial markets, facilitates trade, helps clients improve social and environmental sustainability, and provides technical assistance and advisory services to businesses and governments. The Corporate Business Technologies Department (CBT) is the Information Technology department within IFC. CBT provides flexible, robust and secure IT solutions and services to enable IFC to achieve its mission and business objectives in all IFC locations worldwide. An opportunity exists within CBT for a Application Support Team Technology Lead – Treasury and Equity applications who will report directly to the Head of the Finance and Treasury (FT) Portfolio in the CBT department of IFC. The candidate hired for this position will lead day to day support function of IFC s Treasury and Equity applications. The focal point will be working with CBT and CFA to successfully support daily operations and to maintain an uptime of 99.9% for all the critical applications in the portfolio. The role will also involve assisting and leading the AST team as needed to help resolve issues with financial systems used by CFA, ensuring all project issues are resolved with minimal engagement of the Unit management without the need for escalation by clients.

Duties and Accountabilities:
Core responsibilities include:
(i) Ensure high availability and stability of Treasury and Equity Applications;
(ii) Function as the primary point of contact for all production support technology matters;
(iii) Lead the on-shore and off-shore technical resources providing end-to-end application support and development of IT systems;
(iv) Gain an in-depth understanding of the business and its underlying processes and data;
(v) Directly manage vendors and contractors providing the technical services for systems support (including business requirements review, technology deliverables and testing);
(vi) Regularly report on resource utilization, including budgets and associated expenses;
(vii) Ensure that all technical activities are executed under CBT s strategic guidelines (technology standards, development methodology, outsourcing/off shoring model, etc.);
(viii) Minimize gaps, redundancies, rework, and duplication of effort by coordinating any requirements with other functional groups/portfolios in CBT; Coordinate with other project managers and Client Officers for cross-system and cross-functional dependencies and needs.

Duties and Accountabilities
* Act as business and technical expert for IFC s Treasury and Equity production systems and establish methodologies to track problems and improve processes to prevent future problems
* Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for defined applications. Researches and evaluates alternatives for the most efficient and cost-effective solutions that meet business requirements
* Monitor and manage all day to day production support activities for IFC s systems like Summit, Equity Ledger, Derivatives Ledger, DTFI and other Treasury Applications
* The candidate is needed to provide production support and enhance IFC Treasury operations and back office processing applications like but not limited to Summit, Data Repository, Summit Feeds and all its interfaces
* Candidate will be required to learn IFC related customizations and use Summit API to be able to support the system
* Develop expertise to support applications and interact directly with users to resolve issues in timely manner as agreed in the SLA
* Liaise with other CBT and ISG/IBRD teams on all aspects of Financial System Monthly and Yearly closing process and provide continued guidance to other sub system support team members in CBT
* As production support team member effectively plan, design, and implement all production support activities and related sub projects in close coordination with sponsors, user group and in order of assigned priority
* Track and monitor production support issues and ensure effective solutions are implemented in a timely manner to meet the expectation of the client
* Manage off-shore, outsourced vendor to an SLA
* Support Internal and external auditors during quarterly and yearly financial auditing
* Create and maintain all documents and artifacts required by stakeholders such as user group, auditors, PMO/QA and governance teams
* Support and provide training to team members to create backup for all critical roles necessary to support systems under Accounting and Finance portfolio

Selection Criteria:
* Masters degree in IT, Business Administration, Finance or related field with at least eight years of relevant experience.
* Candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in supporting applications on the UNIX platform, source management tools (SCCS), Reporting tools (SQR) and the software development life cycle (SDLC). Additionally candidate should have financial knowledge and should have prior experience working with financial applications
* A strong understanding of Financial Systems, with deep knowledge of the following areas:  Accounting for Treasury Products  Accounting for Equity Products  Accounting for Derivatives  Experience supporting Treasury, Equity, Derivative and Fund Management systems.  Experience supporting daily, month-end & year-end process for back office operations process
* Strong knowledge with hands on experience in configuring various financial modules, designing accounting configurations, interfaces and reports
* Hands on experience with back office financial systems to Equity and Treasury (Knowledge of Investran and Summit is a plus)
* Hands on experience with Sarbanes-Oxley/ICFR audit requirements.
* Thorough understanding of systems and process involved in Financial Reporting data collection
* Knowledge of process involved in donor trust fund investment and accounting
* Prior experience in coordinating and executing projects across multiple stakeholders teams
* Prior experience Designing and implementing Equity and Treasury interfaces, processes and data mappings with other systems like ODS and SAP etc
* Prior experience and knowledge of different interfaces transferring data between transactional systems with SAP and Data Warehouse Systems
* Experience working with software vendors identifying and mobilizing technology solutions to support business objectives and deliver process improvements
* Experience in working with multiple hardware platforms, operating systems (WINDOWS, UNIX, LINUX)
