Manufacturing, Agribusiness and Services Global Department (MAS) is a centrally positioned product and investment group, responsible for supporting, sourcing and executing investment transactions in manufacturing, agribusiness and consumer services sectors. MAS Global Department works closely with MAS Regional Industry Departments (RID), other industry investment groups within IFC and with appropriate counterparts within the World Bank.

Duties and Accountabilities
MAS is looking to hire a Research Analyst with required duties and qualifications as follows:
Monitor data quality in the Development Outcome Tracking System (DOTS), which encompasses all MAS projects from early review stage through supervision and closure
Coordinate the supervision of the annual reach data exercise and the DOTS ratings update with Portfolio Officers in the field
Assist MAS economists in the development and monitoring of IFC Development Goals indicators.
Conduct analytical research on development issues related to MAS sectors
Update and maintain internal databases
Prepare management briefs, reports, presentations and sector updates
Assist in quality control of documents
Other tasks that may arise in MAS work as needed

Selection Criteria
A relevant advanced degree (preferably Economics, Finance, Business or International Development)
Three years of relevant professional experience, preferably in an international environment
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, in English
Strong knowledge of IFC’s DOTS system or its equivalent in other institutions
Experience with Agribusiness, Manufacturing or Consumer Services sector is a plus
Strong analytical and conceptual skills
Strong computer skills, including spreadsheet work and preparation of power point presentations
Strong team skills with the ability to work across organizational boundaries with ease
Proven capability to handle complex assignments and produce work to a high professional standard
Proven strong conceptual, analytical, and evaluation skills, initiative, ability to translate ideas into actions and timely delivery
