Position: Project Director, USAID Workforce Surge Capacity Project, Washington
Closing Date: Monday, 16 August 2010
Location: United States of America (the) – Washington, DC

dTS is seeking a Project Director for USAID’s Workforce Surge Capacity Project who meets the following qualifications:

# A minimum of 15 years of experience managing complex international development and/or personnel staffing/support programs (required);
# A minimum of 10 years as a senior manager or team leader on USAID programs;
# Superior track record managing rapid response logistics and geographically distributed staff (required);
# Demonstrated past performance in post-conflict/conflict environments, particularly Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iraq (required);
# Ability to build positive working relationships with USAID, provincial reconstruction teams, and other US government agencies operating in the region;
# An advanced degree in international development or relevant discipline;
# Demonstrated problem solving skills;
# Ability to build successful work teams;
# A high level of proficiency in MS Office applications and databases;
# Fluency in English – fluency or proficiency in additional language(s) (e.g., Arabic, Dari, Pashto, Urdu, etc.) is a plus;
# Ability to obtain a secret security clearance
