Position: Project Finance and Administration Specialist-Banyan Global

The Banyan Global Project Finance and Administration Specialist provides financial and administrative support to assist in the implementation of Banyan Global’s worldwide projects. This position reports directly to the Contracts & Operations Manager and is based in Washington, DC.
Specific responsibilities include:
Provide financial and administrative support to Banyan Global’s projects.
Oversee the submission of consultant travel advances, expense reports and invoices and monitor the approval processes. Work with the Finance Manager to process consultant and staff timesheets and expenses.
Maintain budget monitoring tools and create and/or modify budget spreadsheets and projections in accordance with client requirements.
Draft consultant agreements and modifications.
Act as primary contact for long- and short-term local consultants on administrative issues.
Liaise with contracting agencies, USAID and other clients on administrative issues.
Catalogue project deliverables and maintains project and consultant files in hard and soft copy.
Manage travel logistics for staff and consultants.
Assist in the development of cost proposals for new business development.
Manage D.C. office supply stock and liaise with building management and vendors as necessary for routine operations.
Performs other duties as required.
Bachelors Degree and/or 2-3 years experience in project administration, budgeting and cost proposal development.
Experience in international development.
Demonstrated financial skills and familiarity with USAID regulations.
Ability to work independently and take initiative.
Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Fluency in English required; second language a plus.
Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to interact professionally with culturally diverse staff, clients and consultants.
Strong office and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and work within deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
