Job Objectives:

I. Essential Functions and Responsibilities

1. Support the CaLP US Conference Organization (50-60%)
- Support the development of agenda and invitation for the conference
- Support the contact and identification with key note speakers, presenters and participants of the conference.
- Support the organizational aspects of the conference, e.g. catering, materials, travel, accommodation, etc.
- Maintain contacts with the different CaLP partners and the CaLP Coordinator for the organization of the Conference

2. Assist with review and capitalization of ACF peri-urban and urban programmes (20-30%)
- Identify, collect and classify the experiences of ACF food security and livelihoods field interventions in urban and peri-urban areas.
- Research and capitalize other NGOs peri-urban and urban programme activities and approaches
- Contribute to the transfer and exchange of the ACF technical work in urban and peri-urban areas across the ACF network

3. Assist with review and capitalization of the integrated programming approach (10-20%)
- Review existing ACF documents (proposals, reports, capitalization) of integrated programmes
- Research and capitalize other NGOs integrated programme activities and approaches
- Develop a mini guide on integrated programming, various components, appropriateness, challenges and opportunities, and recommendations for their implementation

4. Assist with review and capitalization of programs on moderate malnutrition and prevention (10-20%)
- Review existing ACF documents (proposals, reports, capitalization) of MAM and RUF interventions
- Research and capitalize other NGOs activities and approaches on these topics
- Develop a mini guide on MAM and RUF programming, various components, appropriateness, challenges and opportunities, and recommendations for their implementation.

Qualifications:

- Excellent organizational skills and interest in humanitarian operations
- Degree in economic sciences, agriculture, international affairs, political sciences, geography, environmental sciences, socio economics, rural development, anthropology, journalism or communication…
- Capacity to manage/ process information
- Knowledge of methodological principles for the collection, selection, organization, dissemination and exchange of information.
- Motivated, responsible, creative

Preferred Skills:

- Strong Word, Excel, Internet search experience
- Fluency in written and spoken English, French is an asset
- Genuine commitment to the principles and work of ACF
